Day 1 Arrival in Funafuti – Welcome to Tuvalu

Arrive at Funafuti International Airport, where you’ll be greeted with a warm smile and transferred to your accommodation. After check-in, enjoy a short walk along the lagoon, then join your host for a traditional Tuvaluan welcome dinner.

Day 2Funafuti Island Orientation & WWII History

Begin with a guided island tour to get acquainted with Funafuti. Visit the local market, the National Library, and the site of the WWII airfield built by U.S. forces. Stop by Teone Church and enjoy a local lunch at a family-run eatery. The afternoon is free to relax or snorkel in the lagoon.

Day 3Day Trip to Funafala Islet

Take a boat trip across the Funafuti lagoon to Funafala, a quiet islet with only a few residents. Swim in turquoise waters, enjoy a picnic lunch, and learn about traditional atoll living and sustainable fishing practices. Return to Funafuti by sunset.

Day 4Cultural Experience & Handicrafts

Visit a local community to learn about Tuvaluan culture and crafts. Join a mat-weaving demonstration, try your hand at traditional dance, and learn basic Tuvaluan phrases. In the evening, enjoy a cultural show or “fatele” (drum-led group dancing), if scheduled.

Day 5Marine Conservation Tour & Snorkeling
