Huahine Travel Guide

There are two ways to get to Huahine: by plane or by boat. I recommend taking the boat from Tahiti – it’s a beautiful journey and you get to see some of the other islands in the Society Archipelago. Once you arrive in Huahine, the first thing you’ll notice is the lush green landscape. The island is covered in rainforests, palm trees, and gorgeous flowers.
The best way to explore Huahine is by rental car. This will allow you to visit all of the island’s highlights, including the beautiful beaches, the historic gaugin village of Fare, and the sacred Marinato marae. Another must-do activity on Huahine is to go snorkelling or diving. The reefs around the island are teeming with colourful fish and other marine life.
