Itinerary

Day 01Journey into the Amazon: From Manaus to Jungle Adventure

At 8:00 AM, you’ll be picked up from your hotel to begin your Amazon Jungle Tour from Manaus. You will be transferred to the Ceasa port, where you’ll board a speedboat to navigate the Rio Negro. From there, you’ll proceed to the Meeting of the Waters, where the Rio Negro and the Solimões River converge. Next, you’ll travel to the fishing village of Careiro da Várzea on the opposite side of the Solimões River. Continue by car or van for about an hour to the Paraná do Mamori River. The group will then take a speedboat for another 30 minutes, arriving at the Lodge around 11:30 AM. Lunch will be served promptly at noon. Prepare yourself for an exciting and adventure-filled day in the Amazon Jungle!

At 2:30 PM, the group will depart by motorized boat to the first jungle campsite. The guide will set up hammocks and mosquito nets and build a fire to prepare dinner. After the meal, the group will gather around the fire for stories about the jungle and its inhabitants. This experience promises to be unforgettable.

Day 02Sunrise Canoeing and Jungle Exploration

A fantastic way to start the day is with a canoe trip at 5:30 AM to watch the sunrise and observe the forest waking up. Following the canoe trip, breakfast will be served at 7:00 AM. At 8:00 AM, you’ll embark on a jungle walk that lasts until 11:30 AM. Led by a guide, this walk provides valuable insights into the flora and fauna of the Amazon Jungle. You’ll learn about medicinal plants, spiders, trees, and may even spot some monkeys. This early-morning activity offers a close-up look at the Amazon Jungle.

In the afternoon, the canoeing activity provides another excellent opportunity to observe wildlife. As you paddle through the flooded forest and narrow channels, keep an eye out for monkeys, toucans, macaws, and more. After canoeing, you’ll return to camp to prepare dinner. Later, after dinner, the group will set out by boat for a nighttime adventure: cayman spotting. With the help of a guide, you’ll get close to these ancient reptiles and learn about their habits and ecology. It’s an experience you won’t forget!

Day 03Jungle Trekking and River Fishing

Hiking through the jungle can be challenging, but with proper preparation, it is an immensely rewarding experience. From 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM, the group will embark on another jungle trek to explore the Amazon further. During this hike, you’ll learn about survival essentials, including fruits, plants, and various creatures found in the jungle. After the trek, you’ll return to camp to prepare lunch by the fireside.

Following lunch, the group will pack up and move to a new location to set up camp for the night. Once camp is established, you’ll grab your fishing gear and board a boat to a nearby river. There, you’ll try your luck at catching piranhas and other fish. After a few hours of fishing, you’ll return to camp with your catch. The fish will be cleaned and prepared for dinner, which you’ll enjoy in the evening. Later, with spear and flashlight in hand, you’ll head back out to the river for some nighttime fishing. Using only a harpoon and flashlight, you’ll catch a few more fish before returning to camp for the night.

Day 04Jungle Breakfast and Wildlife Exploration

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, especially when you’re spending it out in the jungle. A hearty breakfast provides the energy needed for a day of exploration and helps keep your mind sharp as you absorb the sights and sounds of the jungle. After breakfast, we’ll set out by boat to navigate through channels and small creeks. This is a great opportunity to spot local wildlife, so keep an eye out for birds and other animals. Once we reach our destination, we’ll set up camp for the night and prepare lunch before diving into further exploration of the jungle.

Day 05Amazonian Foraging and Fishing

After a hearty breakfast, we’ll set out to explore the jungle in search of edible plants and insects. This is an excellent chance to learn about the various fruits and vegetables that grow in the Amazon, as well as which insects are safe to eat. The hike can be challenging, but discovering a juicy fruit or a plump larva can make it worthwhile. After this adventure, we’ll head back to camp in time for lunch.

Following lunch, the group will pack up and relocate to a new campsite. Once the new camp is set up, we’ll take the boat out for fishing. Using spears, we’ll catch fish and then return to camp to cook the fish over the fire. After enjoying a hearty meal, we’ll settle in for the night.

Day 06Wildlife Adventure in the Várzea: Hiking, Boating, and Return to Manaus

After a hearty breakfast, we’ll explore the Várzea area of the Amazon. This region offers excellent opportunities to spot wildlife such as birds, monkeys, and other animals. From September to March, exploration is done by hiking; during other times of the year, it’s conducted by boat. Following a day of adventure, we’ll return to the base for lunch and some relaxation before heading back to Manaus. At 2:00 PM, we’ll depart for Manaus, arriving around 4:30 PM.
