Setting out from the cruise pier or your accommodation, you will journey to sightsee the east coast of Barbados. As your driver-guide tells you about his beautiful island, you will travel to some of its best-known scenic sites. Your first stop will be at Cherry Tree Hill, where you will have a panoramic view of the highlands of the Scotland District; Morgan Lewis Windmill, the last sugar windmill to operate on Barbados; Cattle Wash, known for its curative climate; Bathsheba, with its gigantic boulders and waves breaking upon them; and St. John’s Parish Church, where you will enjoy a fantastic view of the entire East Coast. After a morning of tropical beauty, you’ll make your way across the country, traveling through the Garrison Historic Area, built-in 1806, and on to Copacabana on Carlisle Bay. With white sand and turquoise water, this beach is an authentic slice of paradise. At Copacabana, you will be provided with welcome drinks, a beach chair, and an umbrella. The facility also has washrooms and showers available for your use. Although lunch is not included, there is a restaurant and bar to serve you on and off the beach. Carlisle Bay is a marine park with 25 shipwrecks hidden below its surface. You will have approximately 2 hours at the beach to the sun, swim, look for sand dollars, or perhaps participate in one of the snorkel excursions to swim with the turtles or alongside one of the shipwrecks. While you are relaxing on the beach, a refreshing drink will be served. On the way back to the port, you will pass through the island’s capital, Bridgetown for a drop off at the port or accommodation
