Cultural and Bonaire Highlights Tour

You will meet with Across Caribbean guide who will welcome you on tour. The guide will drive to the pink lake flats and to the northern countryside wildlife like flamingos sharing interesting Bonaire history stories. The tour will take you through the history of Karpata plantation and Kralendijk’s downtown area with photo stops and to the cultural museum. The tour offers a two hour optional beach stop at the Eden beach resort with access to beach amenities like a beach bar, beach lounge and snorkel equipment’s (for rentals) making it ideal for beachgoers. Continue to the white slave huts, a historical landmark where slaves once gathered with stops at the traditional Dutch Caribbean styled Courtyard Bonaire and the flamingo pink BIA Bonaire. Stop to take photos at the iconic 19th century huts before heading to Bonaire Solar Salt facility Cargill. Proceed your island sightseeing and cultural tour with a 45-minute drive that takes you past downtown of Kralendijk and the Karpata Plantation, a historic 19th-century plantation named after Karpata trees used to produce castor oil. Journey through the northern historic scenic route and see the countryside’s historic sites such as 1,000 steps landmark and learn about the stunning saltwater Goto Lake, and Rincon, Bonaire’s oldest town established in the mid-16th century. You will spend around 30-minutes exploring the history and culture of the island at the cultural Museum and learn how settler first lived on the island. Hop back on board your ride to depart Rincon and take in the stunning views of the old Arawak Indian settlement of Antriol as you head back to your port. P/s: If you opt to spend the optional two hours at the beach, your driver will drop you off at the iconic spice beach club where you will engage in watersports activities before taking your way back to the port.
